Spring in Revy Is Amazing!

The Spring in Revy is truly an amazing time! This ‘transition’ time is one of our unique offerings that people find themselves partaking in!

Revelstoke has been referred to as ‘the Canadian Tropics’, where perfect temperatures meet snow enthusiasts. Picture yourself snowboarding in early April, breaking a massive sweat because the air is 45 degrees Fahrenheit. At the bottom of the mountain, you take off your winter coat and walk around in a sweater. The beauty of the diverse temps within seconds is something we love around here!

The diverse temperatures bring about diverse activities.  Where else in Canada can you find yourself snowboarding or skiing in the brisk morning, then take out a canoe in the sunny, mild afternoon? Revelstoke offers you the joy of Winter activities and some Spring/Summer activities all on the same day.

Another fun Spring activity is biking. This cardio activity will take you throughout our wildlife areas where you will be privileged to view the Spring vegetation starting to bloom. We hope you aren’t afraid to get down and dirty as some of the trails will still be soft and wet from the melting snow.

At the end of your Winter-Spring full day, the fun really does begin and end at Bison Lodge.

While you and your group are getting ready for dinner, you can munch on a charcuterie platter. Something to tide you over until the main course! Be careful to not spoil your appetite! Your main course is one you’ll want to enjoy fully.

After your hearty, filling dinner, finish the evening off with a night cap! Whatever your drink of choice is, a cup of tea, a glass of chardonnay, a whiskey on the rocks, sip to your heart’s delight in front of the fireplace, in the hot tub, in the sauna, or in your deep soaker tub. True rest and relaxation await you at the end of your eventful day.

April showers certainly do bring April and May flowers here in Revy. You won’t want to miss the blooming tulips in the Springtime.

Book your Spring vacation now. We’re looking forward to seeing you.

Spring Break Has Arrived! Spend It With Us!

The change of yet another season has come! March 20, 2022, signals the beginning of the Spring season! Soon, you will see some tulips start to bloom and we are ready for everything else Mother Nature has in store for us!

This time of year also brings plenty of reasons to travel; most notably, Spring Break. Take that break and spend it with us at Bison Lodge. Revelstoke is the most beautiful spot to be in Canada year-round and you do not want to miss out!

There is still plenty of snow to catch before the spring-summer melting begins, but do not wait too long!

The spring is the perfect time to come snowboarding and skiing. We have Canadian tropical temperatures with regular snowfalls. For those of you that wear shorts all year round, you will fit in nicely here, that is how awesome our temperatures are.

Of course, life does not always have to be in the fast lane here in Revy. You can take some time to view some of our amazing National Parks, such as Glacier National Park. Glacier National Park has exceptional alpine scenery and deep valleys filled with ancient forests. It truly is a year-round paradise.  There is so much to see here, it’s as if National Geographic could spend an entire year here and create the most beautiful documentary.

Mount Revelstoke National Park also offers your eyes some bucket list sights. You can either hike or fat bike your way to the summit of the only mountain in Mount Revelstoke National Park, and you can experience the view from the now-abandoned Nels Nelsen ski jumping hill, imagining what it would be like to launch into the air, giving yourself to the will of gravity. Fact, did you know that Nels Nelsen Hill (originally named Big Hill), was the first permanent ski jump hill in Canada, built in 1916?! You will be standing at the precipice of Canadian history!
